Dr. Liliana Padilla-Williams MD, FACOG is board certified in obstetrics and gynecology.  She sees women of all ages from children to postmenopausal women.  She strongly believes in following evidence based medicine to provide her patients with the best care possible.  Her special interest involve adolescent health care, education on healthy living with proper nutrition and exercise to avoid lifelong illnesses, infertility, obstetrics, minimally invasive gynecologic surgery, as well as aiding women as they transition into the menopausal state.  She firmly believes with proper patient education, together an optimal plan of care can be made for each individual.

Dr. Padilla was born and raised in Brownsville Texas and always knew she wanted to come “home.”  After attending Texas A&M University (’01), she obtained her medical degree at The University of Texas-Houston medical school.  Her residency in obstetrics and gynecology was obtained at Louisiana State University Shreveport where she also met her husband.  Together they moved to McAllen to make the valley their permanent home. They have two children and as a family they enjoy salt water fishing, college football games and Disney to name a few things.

While in practice, she has been an active participant in both Rio Grande Regional Hospital and Doctors Hospital at Renaissance.  She was part of the core faculty that initiated and started the current UTRGV obgyn residency program.  She was a part time associate clinical professor for several years, and now continues to volunteer her time to resident education.  She feels this is just another way to educate the new physicians who will continue to serve the local community.
