Liliana Padilla-Williams, MD, FACOG
Liliana Padilla-Williams, MD, FACOG was born and raised in Brownsville Texas. After graduating from high school she went to Texas A&M University for her undergraduate studies, then onto The University of Texas Houston Medical School. She completed her residency training in Shreveport, La where she met her husband. Together they moved back tot he Rio Grande Valley to provide care and establish their careers. She is currently board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology and provides up to date evidence based medicine to all her patients.
Dr. Padilla always knew she wanted to come home and give back to the community that gave her so much. She has always considered the entire valley as “home” and strives to bring quality care and modern advances to the citizens of the Rio Grande Valley. She is one of the main physicians involved in the creation of the Obstetrics and Gynecology residency program thru UTGRV Medical School, and continues to serve as Assistant Clinical Professor. She feels this is another way she can help mold future physicians who will continue to serve the community. Her latest research project which focuses on lowering the primary c/s rate at Doctor’s Hospital at Renaissance has successfully lowered the rate and has been accepted at multiple national conferences. She is also actively involved at Rio Grande Regional Hospital, currently serving as chief of obstetrics and gynecology.
Her main interests involve educating her patients in living a quality lifestyle including healthy eating, proper exercise, and preventive medicine to avoid life long illnesses such as diabetes, hypertension and obesity. She feels starting at a young age will provide the needed foundation to a healthy life. She offers nutritional counseling as well as vitamin supplementation. In the right patient, hormone optimization may be achieved with bioidential hormones. She sees women in all stages of their reproductive life from childhood issues, to postmenopausal women.
